The VulnerAbility
Professional development keynote,
workshop and youth storytelling performance

Every year we hear more about anxiety, depression and suicide, especially in our youth. We are all vulnerable to pressure and stress. People are missing out on work, out on school - missing out on their lives!
A lot of the pressure and stress comes from:
- trying to hide what we really feel
- trying to act like we think we are supposed to act
- judging which people are safe enough to be just a little more ourselves around.
We do it because we trained ourselves to from a very young age (you'll be amazed to find out how young!)
Being 'on alert' for so long has developed into another sense, a kind of super hero 'spidey' sense - and with awareness it can become a strength or even a gift. This is what I call your VulnerAbility.
We created this extra-sensory ability to keep ourselves safe. The bad news is that many of us have over developed it. We not only use it to keep out the bad - we also end up filtering out a lot of the good. Because of this we become uncomfortable around emotions and tend to block them out until the situation becomes critical and erupts as anxiety or depression; chronic in all generations of our society today.
In my keynote and workshop presentations I help people learn to feel more accepted and accepting of others. I teach Clear Communication Strategies; unique processes and practices that are a great communication toolkit for anybody working with people, especially in a generationally, culturally and spiritually diverse environment. This program makes real changes in participant’s emotional capacity and ability to be okay with how and what they feel and to communicate themselves with more authenticity.
The bonus is these skills will improve all your relationships!
