Denise Miller: Resume / Biography
Denise opens events with drumming and singing and provides inspiring keynotes, storytelling performances and workshops on her rich work entitled Soul Stories & Wise Ways. Denise is a storyteller with Celtic and Native North American ancestry. She has been telling stories while teaching outdoor pursuits, team building, and historical curriculum programming for 20 years. Denise presents at many conferences & festivals and has enjoyed helping hundreds of schools and libraries celebrate special occasions or enjoy their curriculum as it is brought to life with story, song and drum. Denise is a Master Practitioner of and holds a Diploma in Teaching -Psychosomatic Therapy and Mind Body Communication. She is a member of "The Canadian Assoc. of Professional Speakers" and is on the artists roster for the Alberta Foundation of the Arts and The Young Alberta Book Society.
Denise is certified in Adult Education Workplace Program Delivery. She is a facilitator of ColourSpectrums workshops and is trained in Team Building, The Art of Leading People and Leading Groups. Denise was the Cultural Liaison for CFWE The Native Perspective radio, a division of The Aboriginal Multi-media Society. She has a Native Song and Story CD available and is also on a CD produced by T.A.L.E.S. Denise is published in Synchronicity Magazine, and Sherwood Park News, Windspeaker, and Alberta Sweetgrass newspapers. |
